Actually... the Bronco Sport doesn't look bad either.

If just the ground clearance, fording ability and terrain management make it over to the Ranger, I'll be happy.

This Bronco is badass... there was a bunch of thought went into it.

Sad part for some is the 7 speed manual is only available with the 2.3L.

So if you want the 2.7L... 10 speed auto only. At least for the launch.

I really want a 2 door with the 2.7 auto. I'm old and lazy, lol
SO really likes the sport. So since I just bought a new ranger a couple months ago she will get a new bronco sport next year!

Makes me wonder what the Jeep people think. My daughter just leased a 4-door Wrangler, and not she wants a Bronco.

The more I look at this, the more I would consider one down the road. I just don't want anything too techy and dealer dependent though. Simple lasts longer and less expensive to own in the long term.

I'm letting it all soak in this morning while I wake up with coffee...

This thing with a full factory warranty is gonna steal some thunder...

7 speed manual is only available with the 2.3 it looks like. So now in a few years we can 7 speed swap the 19-20 ranger.

I checked out the Ford Canada site and sure enough you can reserve yours now. Of course I'd go with the base 4 door, but for $45,000, it doesn't seem like a good value. Its disappointing that one cannot get a stripped down version that doesn't cost as much as one with lots of options. I've seen this across many vehicles. Cloth seats instead of vinyl? I'd want that idea of a "hose out interior" if bush whacking for fishing adventures is priority. If tops and doors are removeable, I shouldn't have to worry about a downpour whilst out and about.

Somebody was saying the seats were waterproof I thought?

I am more worried about the fancy radio, HVAC controls and push button start getting wet than the seats... in theory it should be waterproof but that stuff never seems to be waterproof for very long even while more simple/crude on things that flat out do not have a roof and cost a lot more than a Bronco.

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
I looked at the interior online and was disgusted to see the huge touch screen. There should be no controls in a vehicle that you can't operate by feel without looking at them. Touch screens don't belong in vehicles. Maybe with less distracting stuff they could eliminate self braking and collision avoidance crap that causes the price to sky rocket. Of course, that would require the driver to pay attention....
