So at the parts store, I priced upper arm bushings for kicks while there. $14/side but Moog brand were $37/side.

Is Moog that much higher in quality?

I got moog ball joints for the explorer .went to Greese them and one hole didn't get drilled through.

Found out they moved to mexico.

Agreed, Moog ball joints failed on me big time (though mine were from right here in the USA).

Moog however is owned by Federal Mogul, which makes countless other products that still seem to be well made (Carter fuel pumps & senders, for example, which I've had no issues with... Also National seals and what-not). I've not used any of their bushing kits, but I wouldn't really be all that leery of them just because their ball joints were crap.
