i dont want to know what it takes to build a crazy machine.. why because i have mine already
maybe you need to know enough so that on a wheeling trip you can fix it instead of leaving it stranded in the woods/trail.....

still looks really good:icon_thumby:

yup... i was in ardbeg with my samurai on the may 24. stripped a spindle nut and lost the drivers front tire limped it about 15 mins on 3 tires sliding on a log and being towed. camped out beside it then the next day dragged it out with a f250.

$2000 in damage (kinda i decided to upgrade to landcruiser axles scince the samurai ones were destroyed)

but i sure as hell wasnt leaving it alone

Leaving a rig unattended on the trail is bad news. Tweakers and theives will strip your rig if they get a chance. It is sad but you just can't trust people.

Being able to make trail repairs is absolutely necessary in my mind. Sometimes there is just now way around it.

Got a new jack and torque wrench did my front driver side bearing. but for some reason it wont keep the right torque on the spindle nut.. idk what im doing wrong but my lock tab is in and it still keeps backing off...

herees my lock tab. anyone know how to install it correctly?

im going to my parts store to see if i can get the 4 lock washer or 6.. im not sure which one i need for my spindle either. but im sure it will work better then this piece of tin...

New Spindle Lock washers ordered. this week sometime i might install it. put locktight on it for now. and its holding up! right now all is good! this is before the trip this weekend.

Took the rear box bedsides off and took a rip around

The Power steering kept over heating i dont see any damage to it all seems oaky now but the little rad to cool the system was right under the fan getting hot air pushed threw it. im gonna rip out my tranny cooler in my parts truck for a larger one! all is fine now!

heres a preview of whats to come up next!
