Ok right now i got two tens running of a 1000 watt amp. I want to install a 15 inch sub along with another 1000 watt amp. Question is, do i go ahead and add it with out doing anything to the battery or alternator. What i wanted to do is have an accesory batt for the subs and etc with a beefier alt. Will i need it?
Thanks in advance! Chase

a single 1000 watt amp should be enough for a 15, as long as its a good quality(no off brand junk) amp. you can run a single 1000 watt and the stock alternator/battery will hold up just fine. why do you want 2 1000s? you would probably need the bigger alternator (140) that came on the exploders i believe. beyond that IDK.

the audioque 15 that i had in my jeep with a kenwood 1000 watt amp fawkin Pounded! and the stock charging system held up just fine.

Edit: i now notice that you wanna keep the 10s and add a 15. disregard my comment about why you would want 2 amps.

yup thought about switchin out one of the tens for a twelve so i have a little bit of range
not sure how you came upon that but that is a COMPLETELY false statement. the size of subs has nothing to do with range. a sub is meant for for substage regardless of what size. and i wouldnt suggest running 2 different amps and different size sibs either.
