Hi all,
Just bought a 92 Ranger 4x4 an hour ago from a wholesale lot. Its not even home yet, just gotta wait till my gf gets off work so I can bring it home. Been needing another vehicle and wanted a truck. Picked it up for $1800 from $2600 listed originally. Pretty darn clean inside and out. Does have a small trans leak at the shifter linkage so I gotta look up the seal for that. And either a oil pan leak or rear main, I'll get it cleaned up later and find out for sure. Steering is kinda sloppy, but blows cold AC. Sitting on some run down 33s but I'll probably change that to used 31s soon, probably why the steering is sloppy, and I don't wanna overwork those axles, so till I figure out the gear ratio I'd rather drop the tire size.
That's all I know for now, have buyers high I hope stays that way instead of buyers remorse. I think I had an account here 10 years ago or so when I had a 91 Ranger, but I forget maybe I just creeped.
I'll post more tonight when I bring it home and figure out what's what. Till then I gotta reacquaint myself with the forum, and look up this truck stuff and get my bearings on my new buy!
