Some guys just use fiberglass waffleboard things that are used to bridge small gaps when wheeling. They are usually cheaper

wow its a high tech plank of wood. with some ridges in it. I bet i could work one up in about 5 minutes. from my junk wood pile ive been meaning to burn =>

Yea I built something similiar. I used a ten foot 2 by 8, cut it in half, then put some metal on it. Not sure what its called, but its like expanded metal only the holes are way smaller and its thinner.. I got it from home depot from right beside the expanded metal, cost $8 for a 4 foot by 6 foot sheet, easily enough to do my boards. Cost me less than $15 total

I did the same thing. That's how I made the ATV ramps so I made a few smaller ones with the extra metal :icon_welder:

Darn, well so far I have never had to do that. But if I had to I have an idea now. I could get a bag a few hunters and.........lol. I should start carring something like this when we go camping when it is the rainy season. Thanks for the tip!!

Stucco sheeting is what you found nex tto the expanded metal I believe and great for traction. 300 for a pair, Id rather save my pennies go all out crazy and spend a few thou on some mattracks. Butr someone oughta list this in our offroad requirements page. 1x8 or 2x8 with the metal on it for recovery.
