Hey guys, new to the Ranger game. I have a 97 Ranger 4x2 with the 2.3 liter with a automatic. Just lost the transmission in it and was wondering what the limits on years were for a donor truck? I came across a 2001 and a 1994, wasn't sure which one would be the best donor. Thanks in advance

M5OD's only got better as they got newer.

'01 would also have the same interior so it would be more likely to have compatible pedals.

Unless the '01 has 300k and the '94 has 40k I would inclined to go with the '01. I would check into the pedals more.

If you get the '94 make sure you plug the speedo drive hole.
