Did a quick search and didn't find anything.

Planning to 4x4 swap my 1997 beater and looking for a few measurements to locate the transfer case shifter hole in the tunnel cover.

It's a M5OD truck so references from that hole or to the bolt pattern would work.

I can probably hack a hole in close enough to work, but having something to measure out would be helpful if someone has a cover that's easy to get too.

I think anything pre 97 has the same cover layout, but for sure 93-97 is the same.

I don't remember seeing anything in the tech articles on it other than the shifter itself. Maybe there is something in the articles submission section?

I jad toyed with the idea on my 2011 until I realized it would be about where my cup holders are. I didn't want to lose those just so I could have a manual shifter.

The shifter boots in my '90 aren't screwed down or anything, I'll see what I can come up with this weekend...

Ok, sorry for the delay but I finally remembered without getting distracted...

There's a picture with a ruler for scale. It looks like the notch starts at the back of the trans seal thing and goes back 4" and is 2.5" over from the left side of the seal. I'm pretty sure that'll get you roughed in at least...
