Making drawers. Finger joints?

I made a bed frame. It has two drawers both sides about 14x24x30. I’m not sure how to build the drawers. I did pocket holes for the majority of the bed. Not the best results, but no2 pine isn’t great either. What sort of ply should I use and how should I join them? Hoping I can get a cheap jig and use my router.

Dovetails for the sides and make grooves to capture thin plywood for the bottom would probably be the best. I haven't priced dovetail jigs lately, though.

I’ve seen the second one, but wasn’t sure if it could do wider chunks of wood. What about ply wood grade/type?

I also wanted to make the bottom heavier duty than the typical thin ply thing. Make it with finger joints too.

Baltic birch plywood. Here it comes in 5'x5' by whatever thickness you want. It has twice as many plies as normal. There is another that is similar but I dont remember the name.

Cabinet grade plywood will have more layers and will be stronger than construction grade (B or C grade).

I got the harbor freight jig and a practice 1x12. If all goes well, I’ll get some kiln dried no1 to do the edges and screw+glue some good ply to the bottom. I figure warping would be detrimental to the sliding. What router bit will I need? Haven’t opened it yet to see if it tells me.

Well things aren’t going well. regular ole pine seems to be predictably unsuitable. I’m getting the basics down but don’t think I can get too far. Will pick up some good stuff tomorrow
