I'm working to swap out my y pipe, as I have discussed in a previous thread. I had to fight to get the nuts off of the driver's side. Any tricks to get to the nuts on the passenger's side? The cat bulge is obstructing a straight shot at the nuts. Wobble socket? If I have to use an impact, I don't wanna dick with a universal.

You will find after you work on vehicles enough, they do not seem to design them to be worked on. You may find yourself up in there for 30 minutes with a open end wrench.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Patience, persistence, combination wrench, socket, impact, penetrating oil, hammer &chisel, Sawzall, torch, sacrifices to the rust gods, cussing and swearing.

Those are the tricks I know.

My credo
What's the worst that could happen?
Cut off wheel, angle grinder. If possible, drop the exhaust from the cat back. With that out of the way you should have a better shot at the nuts/bolts. Little extra work but you're going to end up doing it anyway. And what Ericb said......

Thank you, gents. I have the destructive tools lined up and waiting. I just didnt know if there was any way to get around the cat bulge on the passengers side. I'm anxious to post info, good or bad (hopefully positive), about the ebay products.
