Lug nuts

Just noticed this, these are lug nuts I assume stock:

Below is what is on the left rear

What's the easiest way to get 5 of the nicer looking lugs?

Take the ol' 4-way down to the nearest parking lot and pick the 5 shiniest ones you find.

I bet they're the same lugnuts, just the ones in the 2nd pic have lost there shiny caps

those aren't caps they fit yer 3/4" lug wrench

You might try Carid Parts& Accessories.
They have about anything you can imagine in lug nuts.

Ford used those shitty looking ones, but with a thin sheet metal cap crimped on top. Not supposed to separate, but very common for the caps to come loose when hit with an impact. So if the ones you have are truly one piece they are aftermarket, probably whatever the parts store had.

I would just go on rock auto and buy a whole set of lug nuts so you have a set that all look the same and are the same size.

pretty sure those are them it looks like they are solid steel vs having an add-on cap

look at these that appear on the surface the same thing but these you can see the added cap

edit: I chatted CarID and they say those are not the same part, theirs are indeed one-piece steel (nice) vs the ones Advance shows which are obviously NOT one piece I'm getting the CarID ones

Amazon has a good selection of lug nuts. I have bought a couple sets there for way cheaper than I have found them elsewhere.

McGard tuff nuts are superior to all others. Cost a few bucks more but they are solid one piece, chrome and last 10 times longer. I’ve got a 12 year old set that still look brand new.

They do look nice in the corrosion tests. Will check them out.

You are probably going to need to know your lug thread spec, 12x1.5 ?, before ordering the solid lug nuts. Measure the length of the stud sticking out so you get lug nuts long enough to properly seat, same thing if you get locking lug nuts. One time I ordered a set of locking McGard and thankfully they were cheaply made, because tightening by hand I knocked out the middle (cast) piece, which is basically non-functional. So, I had to trim a bit off a stud on each wheel.
