lowering help

i just bought a 87 ranger 2wd an im wanting to lower it an put 20s under it dont no wat would be the best drop any help well be aperciated.

IF you want a static drop, DJM makes beams and drop springs for the front, as well as flip kits for the rear. Just depends how low you want to go.....
Or you could bag it.

well....might have to do a little research to make sure you can fit 20s after a drop. Bags will mean welding the frame work and clearing our under the hood for the tires to tuck. If you go with a static drop you can keep everything simple using either a flip kit(5"), hanger/shackle flip(2") for the rear and either DJMbeams(3"I think) or drop coils(2") for the front.

persoanlly...I'd mount the rims...then start with 3" drop Ibeams and a 4" flip kit rear. Then add on from there. It would get your truck lowered and driving easiest. Then as you lower more (shave axle and C-notch, cut out wheel wells) you can go back and take on the bags and atleast be able to resel the static drop parts.

im thinkin about buying the lowering kit that this sight offers but i dont wana run into the problem eith my wheels not haveing room or losing my full turning radius

If you are worried about wheel clearance you are probably not ready to bag it, 20s are a lot of work to bag on 83-92 rangers do to fender clearance and just the nature of the large wheel and Ibeam suspension. I would suggest starting off with the DJM 3/4 drop the components you would need are:

If you want 20s I'd get them first. 83-92 don't have as large of wheel arches as later trucks. The wheel may determine how much you can drop it. If you're set on the 20s better to get them first and drop it to fit, than drop it first and not be able to fit them.
