i need help finding a lower radiator hose for an 89 5.0 swap with a ford explorer hd radiator? links and pictures would be greatly appreciated...

I made mine, I think. likely just trimmed a stock hose- it would have been from the ranger, a Lincoln Mark VII or an F150.

Mine:









Looks like it's one piece, not spliced, so it's probably my stock '97 Ranger 4.0 hose.


Top one is a Mustang, but we spliced the center of it for looks. It fit okay only trimming the rad end for length.

I used the factory hoses from a 96 V8 explorer with the HD radiator from a 97 Ranger with a 4.0l V6. They fit just like they were made for this conversion and clear everything perfect. I dont have any of the lower hose but I will try and get a couple for you.

Mike, are you using the two piece lower hose, with the adapter in it?

i used the mustang upper and that worked great but the lower one is giving me some trouble i tried a flex hose but it hangs down way to low? any help?

I'll try to to find the part number, but I used a one piece lower from car quest. just needed trimmed to length at the rad end.

thanks everone i ended up using a metal flex hose abit expensive but it turned out great

No I am not using that as it wouldnt fit. Teddy them pics that you added of your truck look great nice job. I plan on making mine that clean when ever I get it completely done. :icon_cheers:
