Depends on year. 1990 to 1990 can be plug and play. Getting a 90 setup worth using.....mmm. Unlikely.

This would be vw 1.9 or 2.0 tdi territory.

You arnt lifted on big tires are you? If so that throws your odometer off and therefore your MPG readings will be way wrong.

Secondly...Pull codes.

Thirdly pull the vaccuum line off the fuel pressure regulator and see if it smells like gas.

weeeelllll...that depends....with a real engine i would agree.

with this engine... the mpg wont be way off with big tires. it will be closer to the low then the corrected high. 10 percent cost ya 20.

Nope. 235 75 15 no gasoline present at fpr and for codes getting 41 and 87 replaced 02 sensor runs a tad bit smoother but still not right. I am suspecting may be injectors

Try a set of new or rebuilt injectors. I did last Sunday and boy what a difference that made. Best $58 for the set of 6 rebuilt Bosch's delivered I spent on the truck so far. It was running ok before, but now it actually hauls!

Yes..

Especially when they sit allot.

The e blend fuel janks up the tank and pintles constantly. Usually they clean up after a few hundred miles..but if it only short trips it's ugly..

but once buildup in the rail starts cracking loose your fawked. You want to make sure the rail is cleaned or you will jank up the fresh injectors in short order.
