O2 sensor wouldn't cause misfire on one bank, just FYI

Each cylinder needs 3 things to fire
Spark, at the right time
Fuel, in the right mix with air
Compression above 120psi

On the 4.0l SOHC your next test will be compression test on #1 and #4, expected is 160+ PSI

If #1 is low, 120psi or less then timing chain slipped on Bank 1, engine will need to be pulled out

Nothing wrong with new coil pack and spark plugs, and might as well have done that first
But coil pack has 3 coils inside, each coil sparks 2 spark plugs at the same time
3/4
2/6
1/5
These are the 3 pairs that spark at the same time, also firing order on the coil pack, lol

So for cylinders 1, 2 and 3 to have a Spark misfire, then 4 ,5, and 6 would as well, same shared coils

So you are not looking at a spark misfire

That leaves fuel..........well all 6 injectors share one fuel line, so low fuel pressure would effect all 6 cylinders
1 or 2 failed injectors would effect 1 or 2 cylinders, not 3 or 6

The 4.0l SOHC has separate timing chains for bank 1 and bank 2.................so slipped gear/chain would throw off valve timing and lower compression on just one bank
I would test for this next

thanks for the reply, I will do a compression test. Just want to add to the way it works, on the highway above 2000 rpm it works fine, engine light even goes out, seems to be back to full power.

You oughta see my 98 3.0 CEL! EVAP and EGR disabled, converter doesn't convert any more (can tell by the smell). o2 sensors are the originals with near 186,000 miles on them. No CEL. Comes on with the key, goes out when running. Monitors are INC. Runs frikin awesome. Gets better gas mileage than it ever did in the past. Don't even have to run premium fuel in it any longer. Used to have to run 93 to keep it from pinging, for years. I run it on 87 now.

Go figure that one out!
