So folks I have beat in many people here for help/thoughts/suggestions for my 87 V8 swap particularly in the “make more room under hood” aspect.
I ordered to rebuild the entire front end (and the rear too) many parts from RA and other sources. Rod ends, drag link, steering box rebuild kit, bushings, NEW fuel tank, a bunch of stuff.
Well to put it mildly, I pulled my balls out of my wife’s purse (and a few bucks) and have bitten off not only a Mustang 2 front end but as well a full front end frame widening all the way back to the cab backwall. All for the sake of long tube headers, smoother ride, more blower room, weight reduction.
So…. I need to unload some parts.
As well by Jan 10th I’ll have the frame separated in full from the back cab wall forward. I need it for takeoffs (measurements) but otherwise their is a a very tight steering box, coils springs, radius arms, etc, rust free (not free rust, Alabama car), etc. There is also an entire blue dash available (entire!!) as I am just building a bare min dash for a few gauges. Gauges are perfect, nothing damaged or broken and the wood grain plastic is excellent.
I need room to lay out the new front clip frame and this stuff is in my way.
I’ll post pics and part numbers that can be referred back to Rock Auto and figure a 10% reduction from Rock Auto prices.
The only other offer is that if someone needs a really clean 1987 std/std rolling frame (tires and wheels stay once loaded for transport), please let me know. There is so little of the frame left, it would probably be easier to build the whole frame in total.
Any interest in the frame, please speak up ASAP. Before a 4 inch wheel starts to spin!
There will be an automatic steering column/pedal support as well, converting to manual from auto. It’s ready to pull so if you need it speak up.
Auto floor shifter.
2.3 ECU (auto)
The 7.5 open rear is also avail (if the frame gets cut, if not then it is part of rollingframe).
If your in the Midsouth, or near Memphis, let me know.
Dash/rear end parts priced as follows:
Whole dash, $75.00 plus shipping
Rear End: $75 local pickup (hub to hub, shocks e-brake cables)
AC parts only: (everything that a ranger needs inside the cab, ducts, controls, cables, diverter box $45.00 plus shipping.
Sorry Im slow at gettng pics and prices up. If I only had more room..... and I will if someone takes some parts off my hands.
