The 4' bed on my Sport Trac hasn't been that big of a problem and I've had mine since new in Jan '07. I have an 8'x12' Aluma trailer for anything that won't fit in the bed and an 18' box trailer for big stuff that I don't want to get dirty. :icon_thumby:
I have a 7' Ranger bed trailer to use too.

Dunno, still feeling out what I really want/need in my next rig. I would love to stay with a 6.5' box for hauling lumber and whatnot... with a crew cab the thing gets ridiculously long.

Ford has been consistent that the new Ranger would just be RoW Ranger with a facelift and American drivetrain/interior.

They have also said Bronco wouldn't just be RoW Everest with facelift/America drivetrain/interior. So, I still hope for style closer to Expedition.

If my only choice for Ranger is SCrew/microbox, I might as well get a Bronco and trailer. Significant other passionately hates trailers, so a SCab/regular box is the ideal middle.
If we can believe any of the rumors Ford of Australia has been working on the next generation Ranger for a couple of years now. They need to do something for the ROW markets soon since the current T6 platform has been around since about 2011 and this is Ford's only truck in most other markets.

I was really hoping they would have sped up the process for the next gen especially considering that they have to completely retool the plant in Wayne, MI after they finish building the Focus there in May. Doesn't seem to make sense to go through all that effort only to have to redo everything again in a couple more years.

My guess is we will get both the SCab and SCrew since that is what Chevy did with the Colorado and Ford seems to be back in the habit of following GM's lead on everything but the F-Series.
