Looking for some info on mobile home construction

Hey crew,

A couple days ago I was over at a friend's house helping with some renovations and I noticed that in one of the closets of their mobile home there were 3 threaded studs coming out of the wall. They are about 8" long and look just like a UNC 1/2" bolt. I can't for the life of me figure out the purpose of them. All else I know is that the breaker box is on that wall also but I see no relation to the two. I was thinking they had something to do with the construction or transport of the trailer but it has got me stumped

Now it's bugging the crap out of me, any ideas?

No, they were just something I noticed while taping up some trim. They just look like some galvanized ready-rod poking out of the wall.

they're probably alignment studs for construction.the walls are built on a jig,with the inside and out side finish on them,and wiring all in place.then the whole assembly comes off the jig and is installed on the motorhome as a unit.

they sound a bit long,but that's my best guess.

This is a housing trailer, not a travel trailer but I guess it's still possible. I'm all out of ideas, the "Hive Mind" of TRS should be able to figure this out. I'll see if I can find a picture of something similar.

No such luck finding a picture of something close, there sort of anchored into the wall. Google searching is proving more difficult than anything I've ever done before

What was on the outside of the wall? Maby its part of the bracing for the electrical service entrance/meterbase. You said the distribution panel was right there so its possible.

Hmm, bracing for the meter... maybe. I may have to trudge through the snow next time I"m there and see

If its above ground you will be able to see the cable inbound from the pole a mile away. But even if it comes in lateral it may still be braced real good like that.

Maybe find out who manufactured the trailer...could be like Gwaii said something used to hold it together or move it from the jig...or could have been for an add-on that was left off in the final stage...or removed after it was put in place/sold...

My Dad had a 72 Ft mobile home and had to switch from propane to electric heat when he moved it to another location...

Should be able to see where the box is easy enough that way.
