looking at an explorer, what you think its worth?

I'm going to be looking at an explorer here in the next couple days, its a 1993 4 door 4x4 explorer, it leaks gas and "a mysterious brown fluid from the front" I think its trans fluid from the description, the 1354E t-case doesn't work and it has a flat tire, when I go look at it I'll take plenty of pics, they are asking $500 for it what would you offer them? depending on its shape it might become my daily driver until the 94 is done, then its getting parted out.

Yeah, sounds like it could be worth $500 if the tranny itself is in order. Offer $300 just because.
