Is it possible to use a lock rite with 4.56 gears in a 7.5" rearend? Would i have to remove the ring gear and the carrier to install it? Is the ring gear too thick to grind a little bit off to get the cross pin out? I'm a newbie so sorry for all the questions:blush:

Yes just like the 3.73 and 4.10 7.5s the ring gear is too big to remove the crosspin. The only way to install the lockright is grind the inner edge of the ring gear to get the crosspin out (will not hurt the gears), other wise removing the ring gear and installing a notched crosspin will not allow you to install the c-clips because the crosspin wont slide far enough out to let the spacer cups move inwards to allow installation of the c-clips, been there, done that.
