What Locker(s) Do You Run? Powertrax Lock-Right
Price? about $450 new
What Axles Do You Have? 8.8 and D35
Gear Ratio? 3.23 :bawling:
Manual Or Automatic Tranny? Manual
Which Axle(s) Is It Installed In? Rear
Street Manners? Same as open, so far. On low-traction pavement (wet, sandy) it will want to slide out, but taking it slow and giving a little throttle keeps it from going out.
Off Road Performance? Amazing.
How Long Have You Had It? 2 days :D
Any Breakage? No (and hopefully never)
Anything Else? Worth every penny. Be careful, the pin/bolt holding the crosspin in broke on me. It snapped with about 1 thread left in it. Had to pull the bearing cover to access it cock-eyed with a left-handed drill to bite into it a bit and spin it out. The woman's dad had a few laying around from other jobs so I wasn't screwed until today (Monday, parts stores open). Getting the C-clips in was a little difficult because there is less room to work around.

Installed mine yesterday. Took it for a spin off-road and it functioned flawlessly. It's like going from 2x to 4x all over again. So I have true 2-wheel drive now, and 3-wheel at the push-button (although I have the Warn jeep hubs on)

i guess this is an update but i think i'm starting to hate the powertrax in a rear application. my lunchbox was starting to make a lot of noise last week when i took it to the dunes, and tonight i tug a trucked my friends 8n ford tractor, i won but couldn't get home in 2 wheel drive. long term and dd don't trust any of the lunchbox type lockers.

^ Switch to an Aussie locker. You'll never regret it. UNLIMITED lifetime warranty, No matter the tire size/ horsepower. They're quiet and just plain work.

I run a Richmond lock rite locker. Not the power trax one I find its good but slower than 20km/hr it stays locked which is nice in the bush but the parking lot kinda sucks. I got a standard transmission 3.73 gears 7.5 ford. The locker was 500 flat for me ordered in from the states through a local shop. It's held up great I can't see it breaking but it does hold its end of the deal you just have to back it up with some good tires to get that traction.

What Locker(s) Do You Run? Powertrax Lock-Right

Price? I think I paid $350 from TRS

What Axles Do You Have? 8.8 28 spline and D35

Gear Ratio? 4.10

Manual Or Automatic Tranny? Manual

Which Axle(s) Is It Installed In? Rear

Street Manners? Eh. Its ok, really chews up your tires.

Off Road Performance? Amazing.

How Long Have You Had It? 1 year

Any Breakage? Yes. Minor though, small chips fell off the casing

Anything Else? Terrifying to drive in the snow/ice. Terrifying. :icon_surprised: I really wouldn't recommend for any vehicle heavily driven on the street. Will I buy again? Maybe, for a trailer queen.
-Another note, if anybody would like my locker (I took it out couple months ago) pm me-

What Locker(s) Do You Run? Detroit & LS
Price? Unk
What Axles Do You Have? 8.8, D35
Gear Ratio? 4.10
Manual Or Automatic Tranny? Manual
Which Axle(s) Is It Installed In? Rear Detroit, Front L/S
Street Manners? Sometimes it acts funny when moving from a stop as the locker engages, Rain sucks, scary when it unloads randomly
Off Road Performance? Amazing, the detroit performs exactly as it should and gives tons of traction. The L/S kinda works...ish. I do like having a L/S on the trails after seeing a bud try to turn with a spool front and rear. His truck & trailer had a smaller radius.
How Long Have You Had It? Came with truck a year ago
Any Breakage? No locker breakage, grenaded a hub
Anything Else? I think an auto locker is great on and off the road. Extremely dependable, works exactly how it was designed to EVERYTIME. No excessive wear on tires from daily driving. I plan on putting detroits front and rear when I move to bigger axles. I would like a selectable locker but I have heard they will fail at some point.

What Axles Do You Have? Ford 7.5
Gear Ratio? 3.73
Manual Or Automatic Tranny? Automatic 4R44E
Which Axle(s) Is It Installed In? Rear
Street Manners? Quiet, not much different than an open differential except for ice or sharp corners in less than ideal road conditions.
Off Road Performance? Saves the passenger rear tire a lot of tread, no more spinning one tire to get through terrain (Ranger is only 2wd). One of the two tires is always biting something.
How Long Have You Had It? 6 months
Any Breakage? No
Anything Else? Works very well with my 2wd. Slick hills off road are my only enemy. Besides that well worth the money. I wheel it every weekend for at least one of the two days for 5-8 hours a day. No issues with it mechanically. Well built.

What Locker(s) Do You Run?:Lock-Rite rear, Spartan mini-spool front
Price?: $250 something for Lock-Rite, $80ish for mini
What Axles Do You Have?: EB D44, 31 spline 8.8
Gear Ratio?: 4.10
Manual Or Automatic Tranny?: Manual, also have doubler
Street Manners?: Lock-Rite is hardly noticeable
Off Road Performance?: Excellent
How Long Have You Had It?: 1 Yearish
Any Breakage?: Not yet
Anything Else?:Hydro assist is a must with a spooled front, as are good wheel joints and full snap rings/tacked caps

I highly recommend chromos up front and Spicer joints. Tips of both inner shafts needed trimmed .25" to fit with the mini spool.

Coast your corners in neutral with the Lock-Rite. If your slave is week or needs bled, just holding the clutch will cause harsh chatter around corners.

After having spider gear problems with my 8.8 limited slip I switched to
28 spline mini spool EBay $89 99
The problem I had was finding was finding a open diff cage to install my mini spool it seems all the rangers with 8.8 around here are posi rear diff!
I found a new case for $119 .95 on EBAY
