^ That is a nice setup you have there. Looks like someone took the time to figure what was needed and where it could all go.

Before.

During (A)

Done for now, but still a work in progress.

Eventually, it will have sides and a tailgate. The red represents 2x4's and the blue represents 2x6's.. or 2x8's I can't seem to remember.

Yes I know it's not treated. No, I do not care that it will rot out. When it is finished, it will be sealed and painted. A link to the build for the truck can be found in my signature.

Huh.

Neat!!:icon_thumby:

I've always wanted to find a 4x4 with a crappy box, decent cab, and a drivetrain without a lot of issues, so I could build a flatbed.

I got so many ideas, but no ranger to try upon.

This was before it was finished. The tail light and gas filler problems are now solved.

Thinking about something similar for my Mazda, what did you do for the gas filler?

I cut a hole in the wood directly above where the filler neck comes out of the tank and ran it straight up. It sits just below the surface of the wood.

hehe

yea thats card board in the back windo. dont ask
Had an 85 f150 that I bought without a bed. 8 x4 ft sheet metal pallet and some 24 gauge galvanizes...wham...1hr flatbed. Didn't look too bad either.

Same issue with the sliding window. Bungee slipped out of my hand. Lol.
