Let's see your first Ranger!

I'm an "Oldfart" so my first Ranger was really a 1978 Ranger F150 4x4...back in the day when they were BIG...and at 50K you sold them because they were going to start falling apart. But, in 1978 4x4 modified pickups were the cool thing to do! I wouldn't be caught dead driving around in a circus wagon like this today! FYI - I was 19 when I bought and painted this truck (murals & all)!
Here's mine...Let's see your 1st Ranger!

I wouldn't think twice about driving that around today.....that is cool. Well except for the tailgate. That would have to match the rest of the truck.

This old gem was my first truck back when I was 15. I couldn't legally drive it, but luckily my parents had lots of land. It was a 1990 Xlt 4x4, with a 2.9 auto.

Heres my first one. Before and after. I sold it with over 250,000 miles on it 10 years ago. I still see it running around town. 1990 XLT

Actually it all started with my first 3 B2s... This is #3

But since it say boldly says RANGER, this is my first ranger, she's been through hell and still ticking.

And since I rolled it last year, New black body, same old POS.

The first Ranger I owned. About ten years after I sold it I found it in a wrecking yard.

it was traded back in at my old job, but it was my first...got it bone stock and put lift coils, and a body lift with 31s cut the front crossmember out of a 4x4 with the tow hooks and had it welded to the front...

Here's my 1st (and only so far!). My 87 4x4 w/ 135k I picked up for 1200 bucks about three years ago this christmas.

Here it is now. 3" body lift, 30" tires, Soft 8's and a roll pan installed. It's now got about 170k. No real work on it except for improvements!
Only problem is the truck needs paint. The paint is very thin and theres a bit of rust coming through. That and there's about 0% metal in the rear fenders. Bondo galore.

I never got any pictures of my first Ranger when I bought it, but it was near stock. The only thing that was different was some crappy plastic Autozone special mirrors.

This is the only picture I have (imagine it without the damage):

Here's my first Ranger. I have a ton of pics unfortunately the only digital pictures I have of it were the last day I owned it before cutting it up and donating it's parts to other trucks. It was 100% dismantled 6 hours after these pictures were taken. 7 years of HEAVY off road abuse finally took it's toll on everything. When I bought it it had a 6" suspension lift and 32" AT's. I added 2" to the suspension with a custom rear spring pack and front spacer to level it and a 3" body lift. Locked STOCK 7.5" rear (welded) stock D28 front axle which I never even ran the driveshaft in after snapping 2 axles in 3 days with the 32's on the road in snow. It went better in 2wd with the welded rear than any other trucks I went out with so it wasn't a huge issue. I ran 35x15.5 inch Boggers on it for most of it's life but swapped out for the 39.5x15.5 inch Mickey Thompson Baja belted for the last year or 2 I ran it. I used this truck every day as a daily driver/toy and used to tow a 4 place ATV trailer with it with another two 4 wheelers standing on end in the bed. I LOVED this truck!!! The roll bar is actually a factory 88 S10 Baja Roll bar I scavenged from my Baja after I killed it the few times it ever went off road
