With roaches, the best method (along with various sprays) is to use a slow acting bait. Roach eats, goes back to the nest, baby’s eat their poison poop and everyone eats the poison body when it dies. Probably similar tactics with mice? Might need a slow acting bait that a few mice can share with the whole colony.
