Hi all!

I have this 1997 B2500. I want to get new leaf springs as the ones I have are quite high and too stiff, 5+2 leafs.

Looking at getting new springs, but can't find or figure out what would fit.
Which years are interchangeable?
I'm in Sweden, so sourcing somewhere in Europe would be ideal.

Would these fit?

These Dorman looks compatible? Depending on where you read.. 🤷 But can't find them anywhere but in the US.

Thanks for any help!
Cheers

I think you mean 87, not 97.
A local spring shop for heavy trucks is probably your best bet

I don't this there is any spring shops here at all. And I'm not sure what the original number for the springs are even if I found one.

no idea from me, i thought that was an 80s truck too. but you are in europe so i have no idea.

you can disassemble those springs you have and take some leaves out. you will have to shorten the centering pin though. thats free and semi easy

It's an actual B-Series, a "facelifted" version of what we had '93-down, not a rebadged Ranger. A Ranger would still be a B2300 in '97.

Any info on which years of Ranger spring are cross-compatible, and what the differences are, is probably not applicable.

I have too many things going on with the car atm, so would prefer to just buy a fresh set of comfy springs :giggle:

Alright. I'll try to do more research, maybe somewhere mazda-focused. I think versions of B2000/B2200 are basically the same. I'll ask in b-series groups on FB.

Thanks again everyone

My bad, rear looked very 80s.
There must be a spring shop/truck shop somewhat close by.
