hi I'm kicking around with swiping a v8 in my 97 ranger 4x4. Their are some question i have.
Will my (5r55e) trans work? Do I need new transfer case? I don't want AWD like explorer
And some others

The bolt pattern between engine and trans are different. Some v-6 f-150 have a manual trans that work pretty good. Probably have an auto too. Or find an adapter...
I'm not sure on the transfer case.
