Bought an 89 ranger. It's built nice with f250 buckets, 4.0 with cam and headers, 8" or 9" lift, 35's and it all works. Sort of. Dedicated wheeler/winter truck.

More pics to come when I take better ones and get some chit done.

if it was mine... I'd take the body lift off and cut the fenders out if needed to clear the rubber.

nice rig tho.

They are already cut... Those are cut-out flares. Just pull the body lift off. :icon_thumby:

Looks like a good start there W-C. I see Skyjacker extended radius arms under there.

I think I remember seeing this for sale about 2 years ago on Craigslist. Did the previous owner have it for a short period of time?

But it looks like a nice rig, and done right for the most part. When I bought mine, I thought it was done right as well. Then, all the gremlins started coming out to play...

It looks like it may need an alignment. Those BFG's look worn from too much toe-in...

You can build a better fitting rear bumper.

The 5" round light on the lightbar reminds me of dogs with one floppy ear.

The kid has all the paperwork from the PO to him. Can't wait to see it.

I see many gremlins already. The kid beat on it for about 7 months until it wouldn't start. From the registration reciept I found, he got it titled and registered back in November. He fixed it and traded to a guy for a tahoe. The guy who got it was scared to drive it; all over the road or something, then I got it.

As Bob said, easier to work on. Nice when you got to pull the trans.

Chances are, I have to pull the trans. Might have a rear main leak. Drained the oil; 2 quarts came out. Replaced the oil pressure sensor. Also found the hole for the dipstick and put one in from a 4.0 Jeep.

The pinion has plenty of play in it. Bearing is probably shot, seal is shot, and I am hoping I don't need a ring and pinion.
