Just bought a Max 2 amphibious utv

Does anyone have one? what are their weak points?
I’m hoping to pick it up Saturday. It’s been sitting for a long time. I’m hoping it just needs tires, an oil change, some grease and fuel. But we’ll see.
Here’s a video of one on youtube. I plan to put tracks mine like his and paint it tan also. But I’m gonna build a fiberglass cab for mine.

Yeah they do have a ton of chains lol. I’m gonna have to get a field repair kit going once I get it running.

I’m hoping so! They can tow up to a thousand lbs. So I may build a little trailer for it eventually. But a front, rear and a roof rack are gonna happen. I’m pretty excited about it! I’m gonna start working on it after I finish the Ranger. I don’t want to put the current job on a back burner and start another project lol

I wish, it’ll probably be mid winter or even next summer before I can afford the tires and materials for building a cab to fit it. Not to mention the parts I don’t know about yet, that’ll need repair.
The tires are $85 each.
The tracks will cost $1,175 plus shipping.
Hopefully the motor is still good. if not, that’ll be another $1,500

They come with a 18 hp vanguard. You can get a n upgrade for a 25 horse though.

Not with that attitude they won't! Might be able to find some confirmation if they work with tracks or not online.. but yeah.. if it's not too wet where you are they'd definitely be way overkill lol.

Lol I know, I know. But it’s mostly rock with a little sand in some areas. They would probably be amazing up in the sand dunes. But so would tracks! Plus the tracks will allow me to go all over in the snow.
