gas was 3.69 yesterday an it jumped to 3.80 today wtf.. its gone up about 30 cents with in the week

sorry, i did kind of figure it would turn into a bitching thread.. but i made a point not to.. i NEVER complain about gas prices.

i goto same station in town all the time, has been the cheapest my whole life (Hess), swipe debit card, pump, look at gallons, look at my trip odo, compute gas mileage, say to self--stay out of the throttle, drive home shifting under 3500, next day ruin the mileage by driving like an idiot.

anyways it was pretty funny to me after getting out of my business class.. but then again, anything is funny after you get done talking about types of management

Heh. I'm always creeping into the gas station trying to squeeze out the last drop. Nervous I will run out. The tanks on my Chevy are about 5' long so the gauge really varies. Then after I shield my eyes from the gigantic number (actually, having 2 tanks is good as I alternate sides--better than the 34 gallon single i had on my last truck) I jump behind the wheel, look down, see the plump FULL and it's time to let those pistons sing.

Oh, the life of a hypocrite. We suffer.

i had a 92 f150 4wd 351 auto in high school.. it had dual tanks (forget the sizes), but with all that gas you could go as far on a fill-up as most any car.. it was all a trick of course, and i had that truck 6 months and sold it at a profit, if you dont count gas. at 16 you learn about 'fuel economy' real fast with a v8.

after i sold the truck i stuck to the 4cyl supercharged car in the background behind the f150:

put 40 in my 89 with the 2.9, i got 250 miles out of this tank. with gas at 3.77 its better on fuel then my blazer......
