SHO I was just kidding about that. I really would save my suggestion for a last resort. I also wouldn't try to use a tow dolly though, if it were me I'd use a flat bed trailer and winch it up. Gusee you gotta use what ya got though. We have a flat bed, but no tow dolly.
The original motor and transmission are gone, with no real chance of finding it, so no way it can be a numbers matching vehicle. With that in mind and since you've got to come up with a drive train for it anyway I'd put in a 302 backed by a TKO500 with mid-shift. With that combo you should be able to give it the power it should have had stock, and retain stock look on the inside.
I to am interested in seeing how it sits now assuming you got it home.So how's the Ranger GT looking?!?! I wanna see some better pictures!! LOL
