Well some more parts from another donor yet to live another life! Thank you little truck.
$25 for all the parts. FYI no one makes 89+ 2.9 valve covers.

My credo
Giving my truck more money than it deserves.
Man this thread is such a downer! The stuff you throw away down south is nicer than the stuff a lot of us drive up here! 🙃 It would probably give southern mechanics an aneurysm dealing with the b.s. we do. Feels like every other job I do needs an impact gun, torch, and needle scaler.

Maybe I should start a business importing fenders, subframes, and floor pans from southern yards up north...

First time I was out in Southern California I saw an old ‘70s F150 for sale. Pretty banged up, but nothing for rust. I told the guy I was working with how I was surprised they were only asking $500 for it, especially since it ran. He thought I was crazy.

I explained that that truck would probably sell for $1500 back east with no engine.

We joked that we should start a business finding old cars and trucks for cheap and trucking them to the northeast to sell for x4 what we paid for them in the southwest.

I was at one of the local U-Pulls and saw this machine. According to the VIN it came with an NA 7.3 diesel, but as it sat it looks like it had a turboed 300 I6. I got a little excited when I saw the intercooler peeking out under the bumper but was disappointed when I popped the hood. There’s a lot of redneckery to digest there. Sorry I didn’t get more photos.

I've seen videos of turbo 300s on youtube. I always thought it would be a cool build.
