Hey guys! I'm new here (TRS) and have been finding all kinds of good stuff. I am building a Prerunner that was started by someone else. The lady I bought it from knew nothing about the truck, so that is all I know! LOL

I have had this truck for a yr now. When I got it I had to rewire the interior because of years of people that were lazy and didn't care that the clutch pedal was cuting wires! or that the amp hot wire was wire nutted together in 3 places!! I also had to get new shock for the rear because... they were compressing the rear springs 3/4 of an inch! It was a rough ride home let me tell you.

The truck has bent Ford beams?, aftermarket coils, and fiberglass fenders (4in bulge?), and aftermarket trailing arms. 91 excab, 2wd, 3.0L V6, 5sp trans. 3.55gears in the 8.8 rear, and 32's up front and 31's in the rear.

I want to start with the suspension, since it is my DD at the time. Is there any way to tell what kind of suspension is under it?

Ya Ya.. I knew that was coming! Will work on it.. I'm not real savy with the ol' PC.

The beams say Ford on them but they aren't the same as the ones on my other 2wd.

there are few types of ford I beams that could be under your truck.
Ranger based beams
#1 Cast beams, these should say something like do not heat or weld.
#2 Forged beams... they look thinner then the cast beams, these puppies can be welded on, cut, bent... many prerunners have these beams, and they have been pied, cut, extended, and braced, and welded on... like mine, lol
#3 king pin, these are from a f100/f150.. they are strong, they are long, and they give you height.

But like stated by many others.. pictures will help on finding out what you have.

Looks good, but I would loose the cast beams, and swap them out for a set of extended forged ones. What are your plans for it? Otherwise, it looks pretty good!:icon_thumby:

HeavyFire: It had 32's all around but the ronts were missing the inside 2 inches of tread! And the 31's help out the 3.55 gears.

As for the truck and the future mods.... Mostly the usuall stuff suspension, cage, rear bed sides to match, coilovers, motor swap(someday!) maybe even a subframe! Like I said I want to start with the suspension! I am looking for 10-12" of travel. Not sure how I'm getting it.. But I have been diggin' for some 63s already!

The truck is my DD and I need something to go to the dunes with!! Last 2 years have been rough, being unemployed and all. Had to sell the quad(02 400ex) and the rail project (98" 2seat w/ subie motor), so now I am itchin' for a toy to work on and play with.

ok from what I see you have some Extended radius arms Not sure who the maker is.
you have cast drop beams, lift coils.. unsure of brand and size, and Bilistein 5100 shocks.

Not bad, its a good start.
if you want to fill out those fenders then I would suggest longer/extended beams.
Talk to dave@threat he can set you up with some stuff.
There are other ways but this would be something you would need to research on.
