I know a guy I work with that has a couple of Isuzu 4BD's that came out of those ugly looking cab-over cube vans. He said one runs, and the other has a broken valve, but I should be able to use it as a parts engine for the one that runs. One has a regular turbo, and the other has a turbo with an intercooler. I've been researching this engine over at the 4BTswaps board, and it sounds like a good fit, with respectable hp and torque ratings. The guy at work also said they both have the original manual trannys still attached, which would be perfect to drop in place, considering I already have a 5 spd in my Ranger. My only concern is hooking up the 4wd. I know I'm going to probably need custom driveshafts made, but I believe I'm going to have to invest in a divorced transfer case, because both of these came out of 2wd trucks. Any input?
