I've frequented Ranger, Ford truck, Ram, Cummins, Camaro, watch, computer, and other forums. TRS is byfar the best forum. It could be tied with some others, but the staggering amount of reasearch and tech articles available far surpasses any other I've visited or been a member of. The friendliness of the people here are about tied with the Camaro forum, but most others lean toward snobby... especially Ford full-size truck forums I've found. Is there an official Ford historian in charge or something?

I think most the credit goes to @Jim Oaks .

He has dedicated a good portion of his life to this place and while not an official Ford Historian... he is a historian and had the fore site to archive pretty much the entire evolution of these little trucks for everyone to come and enjoy... and most likely find the repair information they need. The other part is his hand picked staff (we discussed this at length over this past weekend). Each of us love these little trucks and have something to offer to the community. You also can't forget the members... All of you are really what makes this place the longest most well respected Ranger Resource on the web.

I have to agree. Before I settled here, I used a couple of other Ranger forums. I've since removed their bookmarks. There is simply no need for them. I could go on, but it would get embarrassing for Jim and company.;)

There are few forums equal to TRS but none of them are Ranger forums. At least with the ones I've spent any significant time on. Forums at the quality level and feel of TRS is a rare thing.

Another yes. No doubt many older members have played a major role in setting the tone for this forum, but also pat yourselves on the back. It's all of us, newbies too, not just the exchange of knowledge but also of respect.

I have been a member of several car forums over the years. so far, TRS is hands down the best. great tech library, great off topic and great forum staff (even before I was selected) The members have also been great, and the camaraderie of the people on the the forum helps. Jim definitely did well with the site and keeping it relevant even now that the Ranger eras that he started out with has not been made since 2011. Ford even recognizes TRS as a solid base for Ranger fans, they have offered Jim several insights on new and upcomming releases.

Only two other car forums come close to the quality of TRS: that is www.lhforums.net (Dodge Intrepid/ Chrysler Concorde/ Eagle Talon/Chrysler LHS/ Chrysler New Yorker/ Chrysler 300M) and it is now defunct or rolled into another forum, and www.lxforums.net (Dodge Charger/ Chrysler 300c/ Dodge Magnum/ Dodge Challenger) Lx forums is still out there, and the last time I was on three plus years ago it was a solid forum as well. a lot of the same quality that TRS has. if you have a full size Dodge/ Chrysler product, I highly recommend it.

TRS is great, the members are extremely helpful...smart asses at times, but when you have problems they've got the answers, or at least can point you in the right direction. This is the only forum that has an extensive tech library full of normal stuff, and modification stuff in great detail you'll never find in a shop/service manual.

After a dismal recent vehicle sell, I think I'd rather scrap a vehicle than sell it, but there's a great for sale/wanted section on here too.

Given a lot of the vehicles that TRS is geared towards haven't been manufactured for several years, parts are still somewhat easy to find, at least for Rangers.

TRS is great because of the members here. I appreciate the positive comments. Knowing people care makes me want to work harder to make it better.

I love this forum. If you have a problem someone here has probably already experienced it and can help you through it. They reach out on personal situations as well. The tech brought me back and the family atmosphere makes me stay. Love the meet ups to get a chance to meet everyone and have fun as a group. I look forward to seeing it for a long time. Keep up the good work Jim. Can't wait to join you all next time. Hate I missed this year but thanks for all the prayers. You guys are the best.
