Is this the right wheel bearing?

According to Rockauto it is, but just want to run it by you guys before I order it. The truck is a 98' 4x4 with 3.0l and 5 speed. Looking to replace the drivers side wheel bearing as it is making noise and the tire has a lot of play up and down. I don't need ABS as it's been cut and disabled on the truck anyways, but I noticed they come with ABS and some without. Not sure if that would make a difference in fitment?

The truck is only a yard truck so just trying to keep her going along.

Thanks!

If you go to Autozone and plug in your truck and look for the bearing, you will find they have two different ones, they are the Duralast brand but they use the same number you found for the ultra-power. Just a different prefix to the number.

If your ABS hass been disabled and will not be restored you can use any of the ones that RockAuto lists. Just don't connect the sensors if the ones you buy have it, you would need to leave it in place to plug the hole though. Only 4wd trucks use that style of wheel bearing on Rangers, 2wd used two individual bearings that fit into the rotor.

Well looking at it again, it's not the ABS that is disconnected but the vacuum line is rotted off of it. Going to have fun with this one!

Well then, someone's 4x4 hasn't been working. Those years rely on vacuum to lock in the hubs when 4x4 is engaged.

Sounds like you might need the ABS sensors. The 4x4 might or might not still work. They do make manual lockers for those years, but I personally don't like them and think they are too weak/fragile. I just recently converted my 99 from locking hubs to the later live axles. Didn;t really have a choice with my V8 AWD swap, but it was going to happen even if I'd stayed 4wd. I'd had a few of the lockers fail on me due to physical damage.

I have just been looking at the manual lockers, but also there is a permanent locking mod on this site that I will probably just do. Seems to make more sense as this truck will never get above 30mph, and be mainly on roads I need 4wd for. Hopefully I can get the wheel bearing hub off next week when I give it a go. Also need to grease the slip yoke as it is clunking nonstop and very loudly.

Being permanently locked won't hurt them, just don't engage 4wd in the wrong conditions. For your use that doesn't sound like it'll be an issue. If you look through the tech library there is also a variation of the mod that will allow them to manually lock and unlock.

I'll admit that while not a driving factor, more wheel selection was a welcome benefit of going live axle. This truck isn't going to see anything much rougher than a dirt road for the forseeable future.

Really appreciate the advice and insight, I'll look that other mod up. Fingers crossed at least one thing will go well.
