Is this the new 2021 Ford Ranger? I think many of you know that the new 2019 Ford Ranger is actually the old T6 platform that's due to be replaced. Yes, those of you that buy a 2019 or 2020 Ford Ranger may actually end up with a rare truck.

It could be the 2022 Volkswagen Amarok that will be built on the Ford Ranger platform.

Notice how this thing has a hidden winch? I've mentioned a while back (not just today) that I think the Ranger should take some ideas from the Power Wagon.

Look again at the front, and how it shares styling cues from Ford's full size trucks.

We've gone a long time without a design change with the last Ranger. Wouldn't it be cool if Ford dropped a new design on us after only 2-years?

What do you think??

It's definitely the new Ranger design. It gives it a Truck look. Notice how the 2019 Ranger has the same nose as the Edge SUV. This design goes along with the F150 and Expedition that is currently out now.

Looks really similar to the chevy front ends which are ugly. They need to stick to their roots and get away from all the fake chrome plastic. Front ends like that make it hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.... it's just too much going on in the front only to leave nothing everywhere else. I don't see jack squat about the rear or sides that compliment the front with all that mess going on.

Plus, if you're like me and actually read, this has already been exposed as the Next Gen Ranger and Ford does not want these pictures floating around.
In this article, Ford asked them to take down the photos

I hope that front end doesn't make it past the concept stage. I like the more square front end but those head lights and the grill need to go.

I'm sure it will have a nose that makes it look like a baby 150 and then they will eventually release the F100 Ranger

Faceless and lacks character. The VW version is much better - but I never warmed up to the present Ford truck style at all. Then again it's just a sedan anyway.

I think the F150 has a big Ole Chevy logo in it already. But I seem to be alone on that. A restyle of the whole truck line wouldn't bother me at all. The trend seems to be that the trucks get real blocky over the years, then they make it round and curvy to freshen things up. Dodge seems to be headed in the curvy direction with the new 1500. So we'll see

Actually the current Ranger is kind of curvy too...

I am not opposed to the Ranger looking like a fullsize... except for when fullsizes are so darn ugly that IMO one of the perks of the Ranger is getting a Ford truck that isn't ugly.

Trucks in general have gotten really ugly. Right now IMO the only two decent lookers are the Ranger and Tacoma. Everything else looks like :poop:

I agree. I was just making the point that the Ranger looks more like the Edge SUV than it does the 150s and up, Totally different shnozz up front
