I feel like if you intend on keeping the truck, you might as well do both. I agree with what he said ^^^^^^ you are going to have money into having the valves cleaned up too.

I also feel like if one head is bad, the other probably looks like that too. If you cheap out you might be back in there right away doing the other head... but maybe not.
Copy that… the other looks similar; very likely the original heads, based on rocker arm wear and condition. I think I shall replace both heads thank you to all how does everyone feel about Felpro for all gaskets?

Good call. Felpro is fine. I've had mixed results with the permadry valve cover gaskets, about half of them leak right away.

Coming in second just makes you the first loser!
I used genuine OEM gaskets and they leaked within six months! Fist time I ever used something other than Fel-Pro. Replaced them with Fel-Pro and it's been more than two year with no leaks.

Seriously, if you're second guessing is something is bad, have it tested by a machine shop. Otherwise bite the bullet and buy some heads. FWIW, if you can see a crack in a head, chances are it will fail when it gets hot.
