Park is a manual lever that locks the output shaft at rear of an automatic transmission

Looks like this when engaged: https://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/parking-pawl.jpg
With tires blocked and pan off
Manually move the shifter arm on drivers side of transmission and look at the CAM on that shift rod on the inside of transmission

The solenoids do not cause transmission to go into "gear", the shifter does, the solenoids shift gears to 2, 3, 4, or 5
But 1st and Reverse, and Park are engaged mechanically by the shifter
