I'm replacing the original rear leaf springs on my 92' Ford Ranger XLT 2.9 V6. 4WD is broke and I don't use it. Leaf springs generally cost around $220 where I live. I found one brand at one of the major auto parts chains that is about $110 cheaper that all the others. It makes me wonder why. Would you guys be ok with buying $110 leaf springs? Any concerns about quality and safety? I'm inclined to buy them. They're brand new with a lifetime warranty.

My credo
Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
What are the differences between the spring sets? Number of leaves, thickness of main spring, etc. Since the price is exactly half the price, is it for one spring while the other is a matched set?

Cheap leaf springs may or may not get sagged out pretty quick. If you're not worried about that... go for it. My buddy down the street bought a brand new pair of sport trac springs and said they were trashed in 2000 miles.

It's the same 3-leaf spring with the same or very similar dimensions as the others that cost about $110 more. The original spring is 3-leaf also. The manufacturer is Power 10.
The cost I mentioned is per spring, not the pair.

I paid for the bargain brand leaf springs today. Lifetime warranty. I'll get them next week.

I forgot to follow up with you guys. I installed the bargain brand leaf springs from Auto Zone last year.
(Made in Indonesia) Man, that was a tough job to do by myself. The springs are fine. Thank you.
