Is a 5.0 from 93 F150 suitable for straight swap into a 93 Ranger W/4.0 ?

Well, I guess the title pretty much says it

The 5.0 F150 has an auto transmission, the 94 has stick M50D

Can't use the Ranger transmission with the 5.0. The intake on the F150 is too tall for the hood on the Ranger. If you stick with fuel injection you have to re-wire for the F150 EEC IV V8 ECU. Swap the FEAD for an Explorer FEAD and intake and it's a lot easier. If you want a manual you need to find the M5ODR2 from an F150. Lots of other details, but that the gist of it.

Thank you very much sir. My intitial searches didn't turn up much about the swap, figured it was due to omission of the commonly used numbers 4.0 and 5.0. Even tried through a browser.
Guess I should have simply checked into the 5.0 itself, hek, I didn't even realize it was a V-8 :/
There was one advertised relatively cheap not too far away that i had already inquired about availability on then replied I'd be a couple days getting back to it. The question wasn't getting any early replies, due to wrong forum I suppose. Thanks also to whoever moved it to the right one.

I've been mostly concentrating on finding one similar enough to mine their parts will be mostly interchangeable
