Hello all,
I've got a '06 Ranger bought used, that started stalling out when driving. The truck would restart after about an hour and run perfectly for days/weeks till it happened again. It wouldn't set any codes and just flat died at any speeds, idle or cruising the freeway. Trouble shooting at the side of the road showed no fuel pressure even when jumping the fuel pump relay. A wiring diagram showed an inertia switch (for crashes) in line with the pump. Tracked that down on the firewall and found the wire connector burned and melted. A new connector from Amazon and a new inertia switch got me back on the road again. Hope this helps someone who might be chasing the same issue.
