Instrument cluster “speedometer tach” issues.

I’ve got a 1997 ford explorer sport I swapped a 4.6 into out if a 2004 mercury grand marquis. The speedometer isn’t compatible with the output from the 2004 ecu/pcm and it doesn't have a tach feed. I plan to resolve the tach feed by swapping the ecu for one out of a 2004 mustang gt but it wont help with the speedometer. What can I do to resolve the issue with the speedometer? Ive considered an instrument cluster swap but I am unsure of the year I would need to get. This is my daily and has been for 5 years. I’ve put like 100,000 miles on it and I’m tired of using my phone for my speedometer lmao

I think I’ve read that one. Basically mine is reversed with the exception that the manual transmission models in 97 got their Speedo feed directly from the vss and relayed a signal to the ecu and cruise control via the gem module not the rear abs sensor. The 04 grand marquis takes the signal from the OSS directly to the ecu then sends out a different signal to the speedometer. I’ve just gotta simulate the ac sine wave from a dc pulse for the speedo and the Dakota digital information page made the tach sound super easy.
