What options am I looking at for replacing my injectors on my 00 3.0?

Reason they need to be replaced?

Just curious. My 2002 Ranger 3.0L was occasionally throwing an engine warning miss on cylinder number 4. Nothing seemed to help. A can of BG-44K fuel system cleaner would clean it up for a tank or two of gasoline. Then back again. I finally had that number 4 cylinder fuel injector changed out and no more warnings.

A 2000 3.0l was either Flex Fuel or Gas only, that matters as far as the injectors
So look at the VIN, 8th digit
U = gas only, 14lb/hr injectors
V = Flex fuel, 21lb/hr injectors(19lb/hr will work)

This changed in 2001, either used 19lb/hr, it was a computer software change, so doesn't apply to earlier models

Mine is a flex fuel. Any recommendations on where to get them?

Assuming you actually need it...

Instead of replacing them, get them overhauled. I just got that done with mine. Cheaper than new, and they're thoroughly tested for spray pattern, flow rate, etc so you know when they come back that they're precisely dialed in.

Eric did the work on mine. Ten dollars per injector, ten for return shipping. I mailed them off last Friday and they made it back to my door yesterday. He included a sheet documenting exactly what was done and the tested numbers for each injector. Very impressed.
