In need of a machine shop for head work

So, the machine shops I've used in the past for Jeep/Mopar stuff are either closed, or the 'old man' that ran the place is dead/retired ?

Looking for a machine shop within a few hours (or that does mail order) of Pittsburgh to do standard Pruett head work - just running a bowl hog, back cut valves, cutting back the valve guide boss so I can blend and polish, and widening the spring seats so I can run dual springs.

Anyone out there know of a 'good' machine shop within a few hours drive (or via mail) that they would recommend?

A bit far for you but they say they do freight. I used them one time so far to have some heads resurfaced after an HG failure in my KJ a few years ago. They did a great job. I'll be going back with my 326 for some major work in the next 5-6 months (hopefully). They had an impressive assortment of engines in their pickup area.

R&R engine and machine in akron ohio. It's been there forever and I have had work done there. They most do diesel stuff but I would not hesitate to have them do anything for me.

The other one is Michael's Auto Parts and Michael's Racing Engines. That one is in macedonia ohio. My uncle has drag engines built there or machined there.

But me personally I'd trust r&r over anyone else they do semi engines too. My brother left a cylinder head there for like 3 years. Actually forgot about it and came back last year and they still had it. Didn't even charge him any extra for it either ha ha.
