Considered that, but from the Chevy cables I remember (haven't dealt with them in 20+ years) they thread onto a mechanical interface at the transmission, so the cable thing wouldn't work. I'll measure the ID of the S10 as well as the Mustang....who knows, might get lucky.

I did the S10 tailshaft conversion on my T5. I heard that if you get a tailshaft from and older S10 with a mechanical speedo (which mine is not), then all that needs done is to relocate the drive gear for the speedo on the mainshaft and stick the Ford VSS/cable end in there. Otherwise, major fab/ TIG work is needed to get a speedo with the electrical speedo'd tailshaft housing.
