I used to do 2-4 liters of southern sweet tea per day. It wouldn't be unusual for me to drink near a half gallon with a meal when out to eat, and I ate out a lot.

I'll second what @rusty ol ranger said, damn diabeeetus.

I'll still drink close to a quarter gallon at a sitting, but don't use sugar any more.

Never was a fan of sweet tea. Pepsi was my sugar vice.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
I'm absolutely going to have diabeetus eventually. Im a big rootbeer hound.. if I'm not on a rootbeer kick I'm in the sprite. Probably drank more soda in the past 10 years than I have water in the past 32 years lol.

It's so terrible lol.

I start my morning with like 30 ounces of coffee.. sweet & light of course.. then after that a 20oz A&W will usually last me until I punch out... then go home and have at least another can or two before I fall asleep.

I have been trying to drink more water though. Big motivator lately into drinking more water is that everything else costs so damn much money .. it's ridiculous. Especially when it's hot out... bring a big jug of water to work for free, or spend 5 bucks a day (at least) on a couple sodas/teas/lemonades..

Yall know pop is supposed to be a treat?....
First off, thank you for spelling soda correctly! I love Dr. Pepper and I used to drink tons of it when I was a kid. I rarely drank water, probably because the water at home looked and tasted awful. We had well water with tons of iron in it. I ended up being extremely overweight and ended up switching to diet pop when I was in college because I just couldn't shake the stuff. After a while I noticed the frequency of migraines had increased by a lot so I ended up making an agreement with myself that I would have one regular soda per day with my lunch. At the time I worked at a cemetery so it was easy to limit myself as I'd just pack one can in my cooler. I figured one can of carbonated sugar water was probably better for me than six cans of aspartame.

I've managed to stick with it for over 10 years now, and still mange to find ways to stay overweight. It's become an almost sacred ritual for me and it will ruin the rest of my day if I can't have my lunch soda. I've only really started breaking my rule recently when I discovered I like whiskey+7Up and I would mix one in the evening sometimes. However, when I buy 7Up I usually get one can and my son finishes the rest before I feel like making another cocktail so it's not very often.
