if that engine/super combo is on sale for 500 bux your buying a motor that has had a rod thrown or they installed the super and didnt calibrate it and stripped the head studs when they blew the head gasket, something is really wrong w/ that price.

the supercharged 3.8 is a terd motor. they can be had for a dime a dozen. for $500 it probably runs fine, but has some miles.

the eaton m90 is considered the "bottom of the barrel" of superchargers. it produces low CFM, and is very inefficient (after all, at the same time ford was producing the supercharged 3.8 liter making "only" 210HP, yamaha was producing a 3.0 liter naturally asperated engine making 220HP).

the upside is the m90 was used for a lot of factory supercharged applications...so they are everywhere...and cheap. itd be more than enough supercharger for a 3.0 or 4.0 (and its been used on both).

Yeah but that's good info anyway, I mean maybe they don't get offers for the motor and I can make away with a $100 supercharger.
