My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
I just swap the stang pump in place of the low psi in tank pump and bypass the rail pump with a fuel filter.

Then fill the frame pump with wd 40 and cork it off and unplug it to save my ass later when the stang pump dies....even if I have to run some file line to a can to get going.
