I have a 1996 ford ranger. I have replaced rear brake cylinders and had brake drums turned and new shoes. Did the front brake,s. Pads and rotors tur

But my problem is that my rear brakes grad and slide sometimes. My abs light is on to. Any help.

Look carefully at the rear shoes. When you got the set of 4, two of them should have been shorter that the other two. Pull the rear apart again and make sure you do not have to long ones on one side, and two short ones on the other side. You should have one short shoe on each side, and the short shoe sits on the front side toward the front of the truck. The long shoe goes to the back side on each side.

I would also check that the new wheel cylinders are not leaking... new doesn't mean good...

Adjustment on the rear brakes is also very import to prevent locking a rear wheel.

If you need any further help... take pictures of the rears so we can see what you have.
