Yes, throttle body cleaner can burn but you can also kill the engine if you spray too much in the throttle body while the engine is running. It upsets the air/fuel ratio to the point it will not burn. I am not saying that was the issue, but could be a possibility.Throttle body cleaner will burn, you can still use it as starting fluid in a pinch so I doubt that was the issue.
What else could cure itself?
